TradeProof

Refund policy

Last updated 11 September 2026

The short version: you get a free month first, you can cancel any time without talking to anybody, and you keep what you have paid for until it runs out. Money already paid is not refunded.

You try it before you pay anything

New accounts get a full month free with everything switched on, and no card is required to start. Nothing is charged during that month, and if you never subscribe you are never billed.

This is deliberate. A month of real jobs tells you whether this is worth $49 far better than a refund window would.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from Plan & billing on tradeproofapp.com — it opens Stripe's billing page and takes about thirty seconds. There is no phone call, no email you have to send, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.

You keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling on the second day of a month does not switch anything off on the second day — it stops the next charge. The same applies to an annual plan: you keep the rest of the year.

If you only want to stop for the winter, you can pause instead of cancelling.

Refunds

Payments already made are not refunded, including for a part of a month or a year you did not end up using. You are not charged again after you cancel.

When money is returned anyway

These are not exceptions you have to argue for:

Billing mistakes. A duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge at the wrong amount is refunded in full. Tell us and it gets fixed.

Where the law says so. Some places give people a statutory right to cancel and be refunded, whatever a policy page says. Nothing here takes that away from you.

If TradeProof shuts down. If the service stops operating during a period you have paid for, the unused part is refunded.

What happens to your work if you stop paying

Nothing is deleted and nothing is held hostage. Your past jobs and their photographs stay in your account, and every invoice you have already sent keeps working and keeps collecting payment. Starting a new job needs a subscription.

You can ask for your account and its data to be deleted at any point, and it will be.

Money your customers pay you

This page is only about your TradeProof subscription. It has nothing to do with the money homeowners pay you through your invoices — that goes to your own Stripe account and TradeProof takes no cut of it.

Refunding a customer for a job is your decision, made in your own Stripe dashboard. See the terms for how that split works.

Asking

Email support@tradeproofapp.com with the email address on the account and what happened. A person reads it.
