Nothing, to us. TradeProof never takes a cut of a job — not a percent, not a fee, not ever — and never adds anything to your customer’s total. Your subscription is the whole of what you pay us.
Your customer pays you directly, so what it costs depends on how you take it. Zelle, a cheque and cash cost you nothing at all. Venmo, Cash App and PayPal charge their own small fee on a business account, and a card through your own processor is the usual card rate. Whatever it is, it is between you and them — we never see it and never add to it.
Nobody here can freeze your money
Your takings never pass through TradeProof. There is no account of ours for them to sit in, no hold we could place, and no review that could put your money out of reach. It goes from your customer to you.
Before you decide
Do I need a card to start?
No. The free month is a date on your account rather than a subscription with a payment method attached, so there is nothing to enter and nothing to cancel.
What happens when the free month ends?
Nothing is deleted. Every job you have already done stays readable, every invoice you have already texted keeps working and keeps collecting payment, and any job already started can still be finished and paid for. Starting a new job needs a subscription, and the paid extras switch off — your logo comes off the graphics and our name goes back on, and scheduling, estimates, recurring work, customer history and extra photos stop until you subscribe again.
Do you take a cut of my jobs?
No, and there is no code in this product that could. Your customer pays you directly — the money never passes through anything we own.
Does recording a cash payment report it to anyone?
No. It is written to your own records, so your books balance and your year-end export is complete. TradeProof does not file anything, with anyone, ever. Card payments run through your own Stripe account, and Stripe’s reporting is between you and Stripe.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the billing screen, and it is Stripe’s own portal rather than a form that emails somebody. You keep everything you have already made.
